Max-Prop Grease Kit

Max-Prop

Part Number: MPGRKIT

Description

Max-Props should be greased once a year. This can be done in or out of the water. If the boat is in the water year round you should have a diver in the water at least once a year check anodes; they can grease the propeller at that time. Or, if the boat is hauled every year, it is easy to grease it while it is out of the water. We recommend Lubriplate 130 AA grease.

Grease Kit

Worked perfectly. I would recommend greasing as it is hauled out for winter storage. Then grease it again before splashing in the spring.

Almost great

There’s a trick to getting the grease to flow. One has to squeeze the grease before threading the plastic tube onto the gun while simultaneously pumping the trigger. This seemed to be the only way to prevent an air pocket from blocking grease flow.

MAX-PROP LUBE KIT

Works perfectly. First time MAX-PROP owner. It's installed on my '88 C&C 30 MKII that I bought used. My diesel mechanic did it for me last fall as part of the winterizing process. I decided to do it myself this year. The other important component is that I did all of the research, tech discussion and ordering process via a terrific fella on the Chat Function. He supplied the pn's (I also bought the tiny cotter pins) for me to look up and order. Excellent customer service and fulfillment!
